Blaire Morriss, PMHNP, ANP, NBC-HWC
Welcome
Hello, I’m glad you’ve found your way here. Most of our time will be spent doing a deep dive into your life; with a focus on where you are now and where you want to go; so before we have the chance to meet, here’s a bit more about me.
About
My name is Blaire and I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner, and Health and Wellness Coach. I’m married, have two kids, and live in Bend, OR but still see clients in Nashville, TN. Before finding my way to medicine, I was an herbalist and clinical aromatherapist.
I graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in 2007, completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine in 2010, and a Post-Masters in 2022. Since that time, I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals with various mental and physical health conditions in numerous settings, including public health, hospice, and outpatient clinics. Through 10 years of working in the Integrative Health Field with those with chronic physical and mental health conditions, I saw the importance of providing trauma-informed care and neurodiversity affirming care. In 2018 I started my private practice and continue to serve as faculty and a co-founder of the Vanderbilt Health Coaching Program. In addition, I have been dedicated to ongoing education to facilitate mental health and wellbeing. These trainings include:
Somatic Experiencing: Beginning, Intermediate, Currently in Advanced
Parnell Institute: Attachment Focused EMDR Therapist
Somatic Attachment Therapy certification
Neurodivergent Informed and Affirming Clinician Training
Adult MIGDAS 2 Certificate
The Art and Science of Polyvagal Theory Clinical Training
Safe and Sound Protocol Training
Trauma Solutions: Healing the Wounds of Disorganized Attachment
MAPS: MDMA Therapy Training
Ketamine Training Center: Ketamine Assisted Psyhotherapy Training
Vanderbilt Professional Mindfulness Facilitation
How
I am dedicated to working with each individual to find a collaborative treatment plan and a personalized path toward healing. In this work of sitting with another, I see the power of healing relationships. I am grateful to my clients for sharing their journeys with me.
